The UC Master Food Preservers of El Dorado County are teaming up with the El Dorado Farm Bureau for this event. In this class we will discuss and demonstrate the basics of boiling water canning. We will discuss how to safely can products at home using science-based methods and recipes.

Curious about canning your own food at home? Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers at this free introductory online class and learn how to use boiling water and atmospheric steam canning to make jams and jellies.

A regular workday at the demo garden on Thursdays, 1pm to 6pm/dusk. The gate will indeed be open and members of the public are welcome to drop in and enjoy the garden and ask for advice. There will be public demos and plant sales.
