Volunteer Conflict

Many Program Coordinators and County Directors have had to manage conflict in the past, together with UC ANR colleagues an improved and streamlined process was developed.  It is important to stay informed and aware of how to manage conflict in anticipation of future events that may arise.  Conflict that isn’t managed properly leads to emotional turmoil, a high investment of both time and energy, and leaves us open for serious liability.  No one wants to be stuck in that situation!

Conflict Resolution Webinar (March 2018):

UC Master Gardener Director, Missy Gable and State 4-H Volunteer Development Coordinator Gemma Minor introduce the Volunteer Conflict Resolution Manual. As part of the effort to improve program administration and volunteer satisfaction, 4-H, Master Food Preservers and Master Gardener representatives created the UC ANR Volunteer Conflict Resolution Manual.  This brown bag webinar discusses the background, need, creation, implementation of the new process as well as the continued improvement of the process.

Volunteer Conflict Resolution Manual

As part of UC ANR's effort to improve program administration and volunteer satisfaction, 4-H, UC Master Food Preserver and UC Master Gardener representatives created the UC ANR Volunteer Conflict Resolution Manual.  Representatives researched best practices for how to manage and resolve conflict to create a better process that is now being used across all statewide volunteer programs.
