Annual Volunteer Reappointment
UC Master Food Preservers must be reappointed by their County Director annually in order to continue in their roles as agents of the University. UC Master Food Preserver volunteers are independently and personally responsible for meeting all administrative requirements necessary to secure reappointment by correctly submitting the Annual Volunteer Agreement & Request for Reappointment packet online through VMS or in print.
Click here for detailed information regarding reappointment.
Contact Reporting
As a federal and state funded program, it is the responsibility of the UC Master Food Preserver Program to ensure that we reach all members of our community with scientific-based home food preservation information. In order to remain accountable to this mission and to celebrate our successes in this area, it is imperative that counties record and report the demographic make-up of clientele whenever possible.
Volunteers should be trained on UC ANR and local UC Cooperative Extension policies regarding contact reporting. When a volunteer submits volunteer hours, the VMS screen prompts for data input in the "Population Served" fields. Contact reporting data must be entered into the VMS system for accurate reporting and potential funding opportunities. It is only entered by one person for each event to avoid duplicating data.
