The Children’s Library Lessons are from 3:30 to 4:30 and are scheduled for:
June 4- Sunnyside Library
June 5- Woodward Park Library
No Classes in July

  • First Wednesday of the month: Sunnyside Library

  •  First Thursday of the month: Woodward Park Library

  • Third Tuesday of the month: Betty Rodriguez Library

Why teach youth to garden?

Planning a garden, planting the seeds and watching them grow give kids a sense of purpose and responsibility. ... Furthermore, studies show that when children have contact with soil during activities like digging and planting, they have improved moods, better learning experiences and decreased anxiety.

 

 

Garden of the Sun Children's Garden

Come visit the Children's garden at the Garden of the Sun and enjoy this garden designed for kids. There is even a scavenger hunt for kids. Garden of the Sun is located at 1750 N Winery Ave. Fresno and is open Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9-11 am.
