In Defense of Stone Fruit, Part I

In February of 2021, with visions of many bountiful seasons to come, I acquired a truckload of overstockbareroot fruit trees from Dave Wilson Nursery. All told, I ended up with 11 varieties of stone fruit along with some figs and pomegranates for good measure.

When I was a kid growing up in the 1950's in Michigan, Fall was one of the happiest times of the year. With all the deciduous Maples, Oaks and Elms raining down those brilliant orange, red and yellow leaveswe felt like golden coins were cascading down on us.

Pumpkins

I recently started taking a painting class out at The Jessel Gallery. It is a fabulous place if you ever have the chance to go! On this particular class, we were going to a pumpkin farm, which is run by the gallery owners husband. This trip sounded like so much fun.
