Pile O'Wood Chips

Earlier this month, we received a gigantic mound of wood chips, bigger than we've ever received in the past. This mound (or hill) covered our entire extra driveway and part of the garage, so it blocks my husband's car.

Christmas Cactus

Schlumbergera commonly known as Christmas Cactus is a small genus with 6-9 species, found in the coastal mountains of southeast Brazil where they grow on trees. A lot of people have this plant with several names, depending on when it blooms.

New Year's Good Luck Food

What do you do that brings you luck in the New Year? Many countries or regions of countries have specific customs for this annual event. The most common involve food especially grains, legumes, and other fruits and vegetables. In Japan, it is traditional to eat unbroken buckwheat (soba) noodles.
