Reaching for the Sun

While walking along a local neighborhood landscaped area, I caught a glimpse of an interesting tree regrowth phenomenon. A tree had been recently cut and new trees were regrowing around and in the stump. There were two new growths growing directly on the stump.

Flower Petals Fit for a Party

It's that time of year again when most of the flowering plants in our gardens no longer bloom. However, I feel blessed to count on those that make a showing sometime between fall and winter. The Camellia sasanqua is one of the faithful.

Dwarf Alberta Spruce

Besides poinsettias, during the holidays I like decorating my home with living Christmas trees. Unfortunately the past couple of years the big chain retailer I regularly shop at only carried large living Christmas trees, which I ended up buying and decorating as my annual Christmas tree.
