Instructor: Mike Pavlick Location: Cameron Park Community Center Fee: Free! Join Master Gardener Mike Pavlick in a discussion that will cover site location, design, raised bed options, container gardening and other methods that will allow anyone to garden in a small backyard setting.

While the garden is closed in the winter months, there is still a lot of seasonal interest. Join Master Gardeners for a tour of the 16 gardens every 1st Saturday. Tours start at 9 a.m. sharp. If no visitors show up, the docent will leave at 9:15 a.m.

Make and Take Cheese Making Class In this Make and Take workshop you will learn the skill of transforming milk into 2 different cheeses, Mozzarella and Queso Blanco. The class will include materials and tools for making cheese as well as recipes and food storage tips.

Hands on Workshop to teach attendees how to safely pressure can salmon and vegetable stock. We will cover the fundamentals of pressure canning, including why certain foods must be pressure canned vs boiling water canned.

Participants are invited to Sherwood Demonstration Garden for a presentation on the selection and germination of seeds, starting media, containers, growing out, hardening off and transplanting seedlings. Following the presentation, participants will have an opportunity to plant seeds to take home.

All adults who apply to be an adult volunteer in the 4-H YD Program must complete either an in-person or virtual New Adult Volunteer Orientation. Please check the New Adult Volunteer Orientation R.S.V.P. form for an orientation date and location that works for you and R.S.V.P. as soon as you can.
