Learn how to safely prepare, freeze, and dehydrate fresh strawberries to enjoy their sweet flavor long after the season ends. This session will cover best practices for handling and storing berries to preserve quality and reduce waste.

Kids Day in the Garden is a family friendly event featuring activities kids will love. 

Who Youth ages 5-18 years old What Join Master Food Preserver volunteers and learn to make your very own jam or jelly to enter in the 2025 El Dorado County Fair--plus take a jar home to enjoy! Choose from apple, grape, peach, or strawberry.

Come along to our weekly Workday & Open Garden Gate - we are now operating winter hours - 11am to 4pm. Open year-round on Thursdays - the public is welcome to explore the garden, ask for advice, take free seeds home to plant, buy plants, share in the harvest and more.
