  • Asian vegetables: selection, irrigation and pest management
  • Vegetable variety trials: annual artichoke, bell pepper, chili pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, fresh market tomato, carrot, onion, melons, potato, sweet corn, vegetable soybean)
  • Vegetable production systems: drip irrigation, fertility, pest management, cover crops, selection and rotation

Extension Educational Outreach Projects

  • Organized biennial cucurbit workshops, 1986-2001
  • Organized commodity meetings and workshops for vegetable growers
  • Taught courses on vegetable selection, performance, adaptation
  • Taught classes on drip irrigation and irrigation scheduling
  • Served as guest presenter on topics including cover crops use and soil management
