PADG Get a Head Start on Your Fall Garden - Palo Alto
About the Event
August is peak tomato season—AND it’s also the perfect time to plan your fall garden! Cool-season vegetables are a smart choice—they are watered by winter rains, attract fewer pests, and require less effort overall. In this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to start your own seedlings of cool-season crops like salad greens, kale, chard, broccoli, cabbage and more. We’ll also demonstrate how to start crops that are easily grown by planting seed directly into your garden beds, like bok choy, carrots, turnips, peas, and more. Come discover how to garden smarter, not harder, and take home some free seedlings you potted up yourself.
