About the Event

Managing invasive species is no easy feat. Many collaborative efforts are taking place to prevent new introductions, limit the spread, and mitigate the impacts of invasive pests in California. Join us for a peek behind the scenes to learn what state agencies are doing to protect California from invasive pests. Experts from the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) will cover how invasive species are regulated, success stories, and current management efforts, including CDFA’s biological control program.

UC IPM’s Invasive Species Mini-Series explores the many ways invasive species impact our lives, from harmful garden pests and aquatic hitchhikers to destructive tree pests, invasive weeds, and the policies that guide prevention and response. The series is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. All webinars will be recorded and posted to their YouTube channel in case you miss one!
