Update on Beginning Farmer Resources in a Changing World
Speakers:
● Ann Baier from the National Center for Appropriate Technology
● Dr. Maurice Pitesky from UC Davis Vet Med Extension
In this webinar, we will highlight current resources, opportunities, and support systems available to beginning farmers navigating today’s evolving agricultural landscape. The session will include time for open discussion, and farmers are encouraged to share their experiences, questions, and input.
This free webinar is part of "Two Strong Wings, Cover Crops & Veggies: Developing the Next Generation of Integrative Farmers in California, Iowa, and Kentucky," a USDA-funded project under the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program. Offered in partnership by Iowa State University, the University of Kentucky, the University of California Davis, and the National Center for Appropriate Technology, the webinar supports beginning and aspiring farmers interested in pastured poultry, organic vegetable production, and integrated crop-livestock systems.
