The workshop is a collaboration between University of California, Riverside, University of California ANR, Colorado State University Extension, Kansas State University, University of Arizona, Central Arizona Project, and USDA-ARS.

A UCCE position is now open through April 25th for Water Management Area Advisor. Home base for the position will be at the Kearney REC.

UCCE Small Farms Fresno hosted a very well attended grafting workshop at Kearney REC on Thursday, February 22nd. Attendees rotated through four stations and spent the day learning grafting techniques from local experts and UCCE specialists.

UCCE and collaborator workshops on climate related issues to crop production are coming to Tulare, Ventura and Salinas from March 5-7. CCA credits applied for attendees. See attached programs for more information including locations, agendas and registration.

The World Ag Expo was definitely in full swing in 2024 with beautiful weather outdoors and steady foot traffic from large crowds visiting exhibitor booths indoors and in the open air. Kearney, Lindcove and UCCE Tulare hosted a booth in Pavillion A adjacent to the UCCE Master Gardeners.

This field day was held on September 29, 2023, at the Kearney Ag Research and Extension Center in Parlier, CA. We had good attendance and vibrant participation from everybody present. Many of the attendees provided feedback upon our request by completing a survey.

Kearney REC's parking lot was filled to near capacity on Wednesday, November 8th as over 130 attendees and vendors came for the Small Farm Tech Expo hosted by UC Cooperative Extension, Community Alliance with Family Farmers and Small Farm Tech Hub.

A perfect fall day for a visit to the Kearney Ag Station greeted new ag education professionals from the California Agricultural Teachers Association on the 7th of November.

More than 50 attendees of the CDFA Fertilizer Research and Education Program/Western Plant Health Nutrient Management Conference in Visalia visited Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center on Oct. 25.
