Gardening for Year-Round Meals - Summer Harvest
About the Event
When should you harvest your summer fruits and vegetables? Join Ann Liu, UC Master Gardener of Yolo County to learn first-hand how to determine when your produce is ripe. Ann will also discuss garden maintenance and planning for your fall garden. Ann, team leader for Grace Garden volunteers and a master gardener since 2011, brings a wealth of gardening experience to her workshops.
The garden is located behind the United Methodist Church on Anderson Road.
Grace Garden, at 1620 Anderson Rd. in Davis, is a volunteer-run, 5/8-acre garden that provides thousands of pounds of fresh produce to help feed the hungry every year. The garden also provides teaching and outreach to educate the community about gardening, the environment, and sustainable practices.
