Due to low registration, the Rice Production Workshop, which was scheduled to take place on July 23-24 in Davis has been canceled. Those who had registered online have been reimbursed. We hope to reschedule the workshop in early 2026.
The Weedy Rice Meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 10:00am to 1:15pm at the Roberts-Union Farm Center (4925 Howard Road, Stockton, 95206). Registration is FREE and requested to assist us with planning. Lunch will be provided! The meeting will focus on the biology and management of weedy rice and on general weed management research. Additionally, the Rice Experiment Station will hold its annual field day on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 7:30am to noon at the Rice Experiment Station (955 Butte City Highway, Biggs, 95917). The field day is an opportunity to learn about rice variety development at the station and weed management research from UC personnel.
