What's buzzing? What's fluttering? What's crawling?

Planet Bee Foundation is encouraging all folks interested in native bees and native pollinators to join its Buzzwatch 2025, which it launched June 1 during National Pollinator Month and will continue through Aug. 31.

"Use iNaturalist to document native bees and native pollinators—often-overlooked pollinators critical to ecosystems and food production," Planet Bee announced. "Top contributors will be featured on our social media! Your observations can drive real impact—help us track pollinator diversity and support conservation all summer long."

Planet Bee wants us to photograph species in the following orders:

  • Bees (Epifamily Anthophila)
  • Bee Flies (Family Bombyliidae)
  • Bats (Order Chiropetera)
  • Ants, Bees, Wasps and Sawflies (Order Hymenoptera)
  • Butterflies and Moths (Order Lepidoptera)
  • Butterflies (Superamily Papilionoidea)
  • Hover Flies (Family Syrphidae)

Locations can be the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Let's do this! See more here!
