Sad news about Ken Tate
Dear Colleagues,
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to let you know that our longtime colleague Ken Tate, a professor and Cooperative Extension specialist in rangeland science in the UC Davis Department of Plant Sciences, has passed away unexpectedly.
I have reached out to his wife, Tina Saitone, a UC Davis professor and Cooperative Extension specialist in livestock and rangeland economics, to extend my deepest condolences.
Recently Ken and Tina have been studying the impact of wolves on California cattle. Their work was featured in the Los Angeles Times and other publications.

I know many of you have enjoyed collaborating with Ken over the years and I extend my condolences and thoughts to everyone mourning the loss of our colleague and friend. Leslie Roche and David Lewis have set up an online tribute page for those who wish to share memories and photographs in honor of Ken's life and work: https://www.online-tribute.com/KennethWTate.
At this time, I don’t have many details, but as they become available, I will pass them along.
