The webinar begins with a presentation by Dr. Karina Elfar from the Eskalen Lab at UC Davis, who will share her work on branch canker. She and her lab have identified a pathogen that has not previously been found in California, Diplodia bulgarica, which causes branch canker. It was found in an apple orchard in Sonoma county, and UCCE Sonoma created this resource to share information about management.
The second part of the webinar, will focus on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to share how to scout for and effectively manage branch canker diseases. There will be time for questions and discussion at the end. This is a free webinar that will be recorded.
