About the Event
There are a number of grant programs closing soon that Marin farmers and ranchers can take advantage of. These programs cover things like:
- Assistance with losses due to drought
- Assistance in purchasing infrastructure to support farm-to-school sales
- Assistance with purchasing compost
- Assistance with infrastructure for urban agriculture
- Mentorship from experienced producers (or opportunity to be a mentor …and get paid!)
- Assistance with projects that support biodiversity and/or carbon sequestration on your farm or ranch
UCCE Marin is teaming up with Sonya Hammons of the Food and Agriculture Resilient Ecosystems (FARE) Grant Program to provide some technical assistance in pulling together your grant applications. Drop in any time during our “office hours” and we’ll work with you to establish fit with a program and talk through the materials/documents you’ll need to apply.
The session takes place Tuesday, March 26th from 2:30pm – 5:00pm at the UCCE Marin office. Address is: 1682 Novato Boulevard, Novato, CA. 2nd Floor Conference Room (Rm 201).
Before coming, please check out the programs we’ll be working on:
- CDFA Farm-to-School Incubator Fund
