The workshop will feature presentations by various experts and
researchers focusing on best irrigation and nutrient management
practices tailored specifically for young orchards in the San Joaquin
Valley. Attendees will gain insights into the irrigation and nutrient
needs of young orchards that are different from those applicable to
mature orchards and learn strategies for adjusting these practices as
orchards mature. This knowledge aims to ensure healthier tree
development, better resource utilization, and more resilient orchards
in the face of climate change. Growers, CCAs, and other agricultural
professionals are encouraged to attend. Workshop attendees can
request one-on-one assistance from a farm advisor.

Este taller contará con ponencias a cargo de expertos e investigadores enfocándose en las buenas prácticas de riego y manejo de nutrientes a la medida de huertos jóvenes en el Valle de San Joaquin. Participantes aumentarán su conocimiento de las necesidades de riego y nutrición de los huertos jóvenes, distintas a las de los huertos maduros, y aprenderán estrategias para ajustar estas prácticas durante la maduración del huerto. Estos conocimientos pretenden asegurar la salud del desarrolo del árbol, mejor utilización de recursos, y huertos más resistentes frente al cambio climáctico. Animamos a los cultivadores, CCAs, y todos los profesionales de la agricultura a asistir. Asistentes al taller van a poder solicitar asistencia individual con un asesor agrícola.
