UC Master Gardener Presenters
- Letty DeWitt: Letty has been an illustrator and painter since 2001. After graduating from Art Center in Pasadena with a BFA in Illustration, she worked as a faux finishing artist and set painter. Letty has taught and painted for Stanford’s Drama Department, the SF Ballet and Opera, ACT, and numerous other stages in San Francisco. After supervising the paint shop for Acme Scenery Company, she felt she needed to pursue her passion for gardening. She worked at Clement Nursery for two years during the pandemic, which led her to seek out the UC Master Gardener volunteer program. Letty is happy to devote her time to growing both her young baby boy and the Master Gardener mission.
- Barbara Williams-Sheng: Prior to joining the Santa Clara County Master Gardener program in 2007, Barbara had careers in mental health, physical disabilities, and owned a bookstore. In 2021, she moved over the hill to San Mateo County and into a whole new world of coastal gardening. Besides a love of growing tomatoes, fruit and salvias, she has a passion for pottery, photography and drawing.
