Are you interested in learning more about targeted grazing as a fuels management tool in forested environments?

This tour is designed for land managers and owners looking to start utilizing grazing to reduce fire fuels or improve their current grazing program in mixed-conifer forests. This interactive field tour will look at management treatments at UC’s Blodgett Forest Research Station. We'll talk about our current research at Blodgett, and share insights about selecting a targeted grazing contractor, monitoring grazing effectiveness, and designing a targeted grazing plan.

  • Creating a targeted grazing plan
  • Selecting a targeted grazer
  • Tools to monitoring grazing effectiveness
