About the Event

The classrooms utilized for Record Book Judging are located in rear of campus in the N/W corner. One volunteer is required for every 5 books submitted. Volunteers must be available from 8:00 AM until a minimum of noon.
Completion time is based upon the number of books submitted, usually by 2:00 PM. Please consider taking the 30-minute online course for County
Record Book Evaluation Orientation. This course is for adult volunteers and Senior Members who evaluate Record Books at
county level.
The course provides an overview of the following:
* Evaluation Rubric
* Scoring Techniques
* How to give constructive feedback

After you complete the course, you will receive an electronic badge and certificate to acknowledge your dedication to helping
youth develop their skills in record-keeping.
Access to the training course is found in the Learning Center page of the CA 4-H Resource Center.

Please inform the county office of number of books anticipated at Record Book Judging. This includes all Officer Books and
individual books wishing to participate in competition.
Books may be dropped off at office by Friday, August 2nd or brought
day of by the volunteer evaluators.
