The 4-H Animal Science Education Advisory Committee is comprised of a diverse and representative group of San Diego County 4-H YDP youth, volunteers, and staff with an interest and expertise in animal science education.

What is Junior Leadership Camp? Junior Leadership Camp (JLC) is a two day camp program (Friday evening to Sunday morning) run by counselors, San Diego County 15-19 year old senior 4-H members, and is open to all members ages 11-14 to participate.

Every time I tell someone I'm in 4-H, they ask me, "Oh, what animal do you raise?" With a smile, my response is lengthy, and usually, they look very surprised at my answer. I've been a 4-Her for the past six years. I've had fun learning and experiencing new things each and every year.

Age in 4-H is based on the 4-H member's age on December 31st of the program/school year.All youth that want to join 4-H must enroll annually. Most San Diego County 4-H clubs allow year round enrollment though few do have limited enrollment dates.
