Under the Solano Sun

Do you like mixed greens and bean sprouts? I do I love their flavor and textures in both sandwiches and salads. Unfortunately, the store-bought sprouts never last long, and often they are not available in the stores.

I have been growing orchid cactus, Epiphyllum, for several years and have even blogged about them in the past. Most of my plants have flowers that range from light pink to red to magenta. Several years ago my sister got herself, and my mother and I a small Epiphyllum 'King Midas'.

I have been a sucker for garden myths.

It's been a great few weeks since the Master Gardeners received the okay to resume our booth (a table actually) at the corner of Marin and Georgia Streets in downtown Vallejo every Saturday! The sunshine and the crowds of shoppers make for an interesting 5 hours, from 9 am to 2 pm, for the volunteer...

I am SO happy to be making a blog about our road trip!!! We were gone pretty much all of May in the RV. Over 2400 miles driven, by Steve, and amazing sites seen. I'll just focus on this one day of sightseeing that we were told by a couple of people was well worth the hike.
