Being on lockdown does have some perks, like actually cleaning the house and getting out into the yard for cleaning there. So, I was dusting (YUCK!) and moved the violet shown below to actually dust under it. There were many spent flowers with the seeds still in place, so I thought to myself, "Why not?" Kathy Gunther's class is the inspiration. If she's crazy, I mean lucky, enough to grow a violet from seed, maybe I can be too! She didn't say that she picked the seeds herself, but the 2 plants that I planted at the class are growing nicely (no flowers yet though) are the direct result of her seeds. Anyway, pictured below, the little cup of soil is generously laden with little yellow seeds. It now resides in its little water reservoir in a plastic bag on the table with the 2 from the class. Now the waiting begins...
