2021 COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave Guidance

As UC employees continue to face complications as a result of the pandemic, the University has decided to offer all employees a new 2021 allotment of Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL), in addition to the current UC Paid Administrative Leave program.  As part of the new EPSL program, full-time employees may take up to 80 hours of EPSL. Employees in less than full-time positions can consult with Human Resources for further entitlement details. The new EPSL program is available March 29, 2021, through September 30, 2021.  

Employees considering taking leave should:

  • Visit UC ANR Leave Management for additional information on EPSL and other paid leave program options.
  • Discuss leave options with their supervisor. 
  • Contact UC ANR Leave Administrator, Jodi Rosenbaum, to validate leave eligibility and finalize any formal approval processes required.
