The California Department of Pesticide Regulation and California Department of Food and Agriculture launched a new work group to accelerate the systemwide adoption of safer, sustainable pest control practices. Three UC ANR academics have been appointed to the work group.

After 11 years as UC ANR's statewide agritourism coordinator, Penny Leff will be retiring on April 11. Bringing a creative approach Leff has spent her time at UC ANR championing all things that blend agriculture and tourism agritourism.
Lorna Krkich, executive director of Development Services, will retire April 2, after more than three years of service to UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.
